What is Scarabedo/Albescara?

Scarabedo/Albescara are ships between Scaramouche and Albedo. Tops are different but it's the same shipping.

Why Scarabedo/Albescara?

You may wonder why people would even consider this ship. There are many reasons people adore this ship, just look at the scarabedo tag on Twitter or Ao3!
-Here are a few reasons people love the ship-

  • Some people like the idea they were both artificially made.

  • The aesthetic. (Yellow & purple, Yellow & Blue, Sun & Moon symbolism)

  • Both can be seen as lost souls by being disregarded or left behind by their creators. (depending on your headcanon)

  • Both can be headcanon as having a fluffy relationship, others see it as a villain couple. (Albedo hinted that he may destroy Mondstadt and one of Scaramouche's names is Kunikuzushi (nation destroyer).

  • They both are sassy and that makes funny scenarios when they both try to be sarcastic with each other.

  • Scaramouche tries to hide his emotions but can't help being filled with them. (Husk of Opulent Dreams Artifacts) Albedo seems to be less emotional as a person, but very invested in his work. Scaramouche is more talkative and Albedo is seen as more shy. This often makes an interesting contrast in personalities.

  • Since both are mysterious in nature. It’s easy to headcanon how they would behave. Some people see Scaramouche as a small man hiding his fluffy side. (Wanderer Era) While others see him as a masochist or a sadist villain. (Fatui Scaramouche Era.) He can even be innocent and naive. (Kabukimono Era) There are loads of possibilities with the personaility of Scaramouche. The same can be said with Albedo. Trying to feed Traveler a strange possibly toxic potion and murdering his older brother. (Sussy possibly evil Albedo) Makes potions for hangovers and donates his art proceeds to orphans. (Sweet-bean Albedo)

  • Both are around 500 years old. (no definite age, but quite old from what lore seems to state.) Albedo was made after the fall of Khaenri’ah and Scaramouche is hinted to be made not too soon after. Old men club...

  • Both have siblings (or creations just like them made by their creators.) This often starts the idea of another ship with Scaramouche and fakebedo/susbedo/Rubedo/Dorian (He has a lot of nicknames in the community). Since Dorian and Scaramouche are both failed experiments but they can't accept it. The same can be said with Albedo since he has stated he is imperfect but he has learned to accept his faults.

  • Scaramouche was made imperfect and discarded for it. Albedo seems to be liked by his Master/Creator even if the relationship is odd. (As he says in his background story, his master doesn't act like a mother.) Albedo has embraced his imperfections (December 2.3 Patch), but Scaramouche hasn’t until he becomes Wanderer and even then it's because he got his vision (heart). (Up to interpretation on that one)

Who can participate?

Anyone can participate with any Medium. You can write/draw from Fluffy to Angst, Canon or AU, for General to Mature audiences. It doesn’t matter as long as this pair gets some love and you feed the community! People of All Ages and All Over the World love Scarabedo!
This means even if you don’t write English well and prefer the language you speak/write the best in, it’ll still be read and enjoyed. (Don’t forget there is google translate for those who can’t read your language. So many people can read your fic even if they don’t know your language!)
-Make Sure To Tag Your Work/Fic as Scarabedoweek2025 or in collections blank put Scarabedoweek so it can be added to the Scarabedo collection on Ao3! (Don’t worry, I will check for tags and manually add your work to the collection if you don’t know how to add your work/fic to the collection. Just make sure to accept the invite if you get it for your fic to be in the Collection!!!)
-Add #Scarabedoweek2025 on your tweets and my Twitter will retweet Art/Fics/Cosplay photos so all who follow the Scarabedo Week account can see them. Same for Bluesky!!!

Some Ideas

  • Collab with a writer or an artist and work together on a project. (Artist draws what the author writes or an Author writes what the Artist drew! Make sure to credit each other.)

  • If you can’t write thousands of words or write a snippet (under 1k words) Draw A Comic.

  • Co-author or Draw something together with another artist.

  • Make a cosplay video or duet with another cosplayer for a Scarabedo interaction.

  • Write/Make a song. Let’s have a jamming hit song as our anthem.

  • Write a poem.

  • Animate a dance with the characters in a movie maker or whatever software you use.

  • Animate an interaction with Scaramouche and Albedo as a short.

  • Make a YouTube video about Scaramouche and Albedo.

  • Papercraft something of Scarabedo.

  • Crochet or any other medium and post a picture of what you created.

  • Write a thesis on their relationship. (Romantic or Platonic)

  • Cosplay! (Share your cosplay photos)

  • Remember this is for fun, not for extra stress in your life!
